ILFATIO (Kingston University Dance Company)

Third years students present their final year dance company piece. Largely a response to the novel, It Lasts Forever and Then It’s Over by Anne De Marcken, the dancers cycle through temporal states of constant beginnings and abrupt endings.

This highly dramaturgical work contends with the text’s themes of grief, love, time, and embodiment. Through contact improvisation and set phrase material , a ‘something else’ ––a la Ric Allsopp––is consistently in the state of emergence.
