Rose Youth Theatre
Our acclaimed Rose Youth Theatre provides young people with a range of opportunities. With auditioned Rose Young Company courses, open-access Academy classes and our inclusive Rose Collective on offer, there are options for all young performers to build confidence and learn new skills. Plus the potential to share the Rose stage alongside professional actors in our annual Christmas production.
Rose Community
Join one of our adult acting groups and socialise with like-minded people while you hone your technique.
Rose Players is our introductory acting group for anyone aged 18 or over, and is a perfect way to spend your Monday evenings whether you are returning to acting or have never tried it before. Players Plus is available for those who have completed our Players course to build upon existing skills. Company Encore is our new, inclusive drop in class for older members of the community, aged 55+. These workshops will be light touch, fun and interactive.
Summer Schools
Our yearly Summer Schools courses offer fun-filled drama workshops throughout the summer holidays! Create in Three Days offers drama-based activies, crafts and skills for primary school ages 7-11. Play in a Week offers secondary school students age 11-18 the chance to work with a professional director and team of like-minded young people, in our intensive and inclusive performance-based course.
Schools
We believe that access to live theatre and drama should be part of every child’s education. As well as developing a range of life skills, theatre helps young people to make sense of the world around them. Here at the Rose Theatre, we’re committed to inspiring the next generation of theatre-lovers and ensuring that these opportunities are accessible for every child.

‘Thanks for all the effort and hard work that goes into these courses. I think the acceptance everyone finds at the Rose for who they are as individuals, means she returns to school with more self-confidence in who she is.
