Venue Hire

The Rose Theatre has 4 main rooms for hire, the main house Auditorium, our Rose Café, the Rose Gallery and the David Jacobs Room (DJR).

Mainhouse Auditorium

The Inspired by the Elizabethan Rose Theatre on London’s Bankside where many of Shakespeare’s plays were first seen, the Rose Theatre, Kingston’s stunning auditorium is an excellent space for any larger scale event. The auditorium has capacity for up to 760 people across three levels. Created by an award-winning theatre design team, this space is intimate and welcoming with excellent acoustics for the spoken word.

The auditorium is available to hire for performances, lectures, presentations and conferences (subject to the requirements of the running production) and breakout facilities are available. There is a state-of-the-art lighting rig and a sound system which is fully supported by qualified technical staff. Tickets for all events can be sold through the Rose Theatre’s Box Office and the dedicated bars and foyer spaces on each level provide first class facilities for the audience and participants.

We returned to the Rose Theatre in Kingston for a second year for our awards event, as the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive, brilliantly organised, and solution-oriented throughout—from pre-event planning and tech support to the event breakdown. In addition to the auditorium, the venue works perfectly for an event like ours, with the café serving as an ideal breakout space for networking and exhibitions. Gallery

The Gallery is a versatile space that can hold small performances, be used for rehearsals, R&Ds, workshops, or meetings.

"Our classes run for families with babies and children from birth to 4 years and The Gallery space works perfectly for us. We use coloured sensory lights for our baby sessions and the fact that we can darken the room ready for cuddle time is fantastic. With baby change and café facilities onsite, it’s a real selling point for us to be able to advertise a whole morning out for people with young children to come and enjoy their music class, a coffee and cake before or after their group meets and then a lovely walk along the river to see the ducks and swans." David Jacob's Room (DJR)

The DJR is a well-lit, open space ideal for meetings, away days, and networking events.

The staff at the Rose were extremely helpful from the planning stages through to supporting with tech, hospitality and ushering on the day, dealing efficiently with any last minute requests or issues. Rose Café

The Rose café regularly holds concerts and networking events.
