Solstice
Solstice is Kingston School of Art’s annual celebration of the skill, commitment, and creative energy that define our BA Dance students. This joyful showcase highlights the full spectrum of dance technique studied across the degree, bringing together first-, second-, and third-year performers in an evening that reflects the spirit and diversity of our dance community.
Audiences will experience work shaped by an expansive range of technical practices: the grounded rhythmic power of Gwoka the expressive clarity and embodied strength of Odissi, the fluid precision of contemporary dance, and the vibrant musicality of hip-hop. Together, these techniques reveal the richness of our curriculum and the artistry our students cultivate through daily practice.
Solstice is a celebration of growth, of dancers finding their voices, building confidence, and sharing the joy of movement. The showcase captures the collaborative atmosphere of KSA Dance, where students learn, experiment, and push themselves alongside a supportive and creative cohort.
Expect a lively, uplifting evening filled with bold performances, dynamic energy, and the unmistakable enthusiasm of emerging artists who are proud to share their work.
