Lighting Designer
Bretta Gerecke is an internationally recognized lighting, set, costume, and projection designer, specializing in theatre, circus, opera, film, and installation art. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Bretta has worked with prominent companies and institutions around the world. She is the resident designer at Catalyst Theatre in Canada, where she co-creates and tours groundbreaking new work across North America, the UK, and Australia.
Bretta’s extensive portfolio includes designs for Cirque du Soleil, The Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Arts Centre, The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Birmingham Rep, Edmonton Opera, Calgary Opera, Vancouver Opera, The Citadel Theatre, and The Grand Theatre.
