Ava Pickett

Ava is a writer for stage and screen. Her debut play 1536 (Almeida Theatre) won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize in 2024 and received a special commendation from The George Devine Award. Ava is the Writer in Residence at The National Theatre for 2025/2026. Emma is her first play at Rose Theatre.
Television credits include: How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, The Buccaneers, The Great; and Brassic.
It was recently announced Ava Pickett is co-writing Jehanne d’Arc with Baz Luhrmann for Warner Brothers, a feature film based on the life of Joan of Arc.
