The Rose is proud to be apart of the Guardian Network.
The Guardians programme is an innovation from the Old Vic designed to help any organisation go further in its commitment to creating a safe and secure working environment for all. The Rose Guardians are a group of trained staff who offer a confidential, safe outlet for colleagues to share any concerns about behaviour or the culture at work.
Support from Rose Guardians is available to members of a visiting company, contracted or casual staff whilst you’re working at the Rose. Rose Guardians are primarily a signposting team. If you have a problem, they can point you in the direction of relevant policies if you're experiencing a work issue or they can let you know where to go to find help if it’s not. They won’t give you advice or tell you how to do anything because they are not qualified professionals, but they can let you know who to go to next and what steps you can take to resolve your issue.
More than that though, the Rose Guardians are here to listen. If you just need someone to talk to and don’t want it to go any further, the team are here. Anything you say to them will be taken in complete confidence (apart from a few safeguarding exceptions) and if you don’t want to take any action, you don’t have to. It doesn’t have to be just big issues, either – if you’re struggling with work, something personal, loneliness or mental health or just having a bad day and want to get things off your chest, let them know and they'll be there.
You can choose which Guardian you talk to by emailing their Guardian emails directly or, if you don’t mind who you speak to, you can just email [email protected] and one of the team will get back to you. Hopefully you won’t, but we are here if you do.
